Garrett goes Aquatic

My in-laws are in town for the birth of their 4th grandchild, so Ky and I decided we should go to the aquarium up in Draper today. It was so much fun - almost as good as the Newport aquarium back at home. Really the only difference for me is the atmosphere - having an aquarium on the coast makes for a better ambiance than having it right off the freeway. However, as far as aquariums go, the Loveland Living Planet Aquarium was awesome. We saw a 4D movie about the Galapagos Islands that was not only informative, but super fun. What's 4D you ask? They spray you with water and blow air in your face when it corresponds to the movie. Everyone but Garrett enjoyed themselves; he thought it was rude to get sprayed... we left the theater early. My favorite exhibit was the shark tank. Let me emphasize that I did not, DID NOT enjoy it because of the sharks - it was due to an incredibly adorable turtle!! The most photogenic animal I've ever seen. Enjoy some pictures!

"Ooh girl you did NOT just put that camera in my face!" - my thug son, Garrett.

"What did I just tell you about taking my picture?"

He's recently found his hands, and he thinks they're delicious.

I can't get enough of these two handsome boys!!

3 generations of Fisher men... and only the tiniest one is looking in my direction. Gotta love 'em.

Success.

This picture speaks volumes to me and anyone who knows these two well. Ky and his dad can talk for hours, literally hours, about who knows what. They both have very adventurous spirits and find wonderment in all of God's creations. I only hope that Ky and our son(s) have such an incredible friendship someday.

This fish resides in the Amazon river. I wouldn't want to run into it... ever, under any circumstance.

My mom hates snakes, HATES them. So naturally, whenever we go somewhere with giant snakes, I take a pic and send it to her. I know that karma will get me back some day and my kids will send me pics of tarantulas or something. Sigh. Totes worth it.

A smiling piranha. He looks so friendly!

Shout out to the male seahorses - the unsung heroic men of the animal kingdom. They are the ones who carry their posterity and give birth to them. There were several times during my pregnancy that I wished Ky could have gotten pregnant instead of me. Or, you know, at least take turns having them. A girl can dream can't she? I can't do all of the work around here!! Where's the equity?!

Dory!

My favorite animal at the aquarium. I need him in my life.

I FREAKING LOVE OTTERS.

In conclusion, today was a very fun day and I would absolutely recommend going to the Loveland aquarium if you can.

P.S. My in-laws like to make memes of Garrett since, you know, he always has such a pleasant look on his face.
