Today I decided to not use media until after noon - just for kicks and giggles. I wanted to see how productive my morning could be. I cleaned the kitchen and living room, vacuumed, ate breakfast, and cleaned my son's nursery. Oh yeah, and we both got dressed before 1pm. WHAT?! I didn't think that was possible!!
Media usage isn't inherently bad, but it sure can be addictive and prevent you (*me) from doing what needs to be done. I think I may just implement this into my daily routine. Oh yeah, and my goal is to not watch Netflix on weekdays... pray for me.
Lol good luck with no Netflix on Weekdays. I'll be praying for you while I watch my shows.

ReplyDeleteI totally understand how this goes. So many times I tell myself I'm going to clean the house and do dishes while I watch a show... and it may get done by the end of the day. If I'm a little more serious about it I'll just put on some music to listen to, but even that can get distracting with singing along, skipping songs, etc. When I really want to get stuff done I have to shut it all off. When I do, I'm always surprised how much gets done.
